The OAB Sports Complex is located in Summersville, West Virginia. This complex is the newest addition to Southern West Virginia’s athletic development! Our goal and mission is to help individuals of all ages and experience achieve their athletic goals! We live by the mantra “Discomfort Breeds Success”. The OAB Sports Complex has many different workout services, and rental opportunities.
The OAB Basketball Gym is the home of OAB Basketball! Coach McClung offers many different workout services that assist with the skill development of basketball. OAB Basketball offers these services to many different age groups! This includes, Grade School (2nd-5th Grade), Middle School, High School, College, and Professional. OAB Basketball’s services include group workouts, individual training, jump training, and camps/clinics.
The OAB Sports Complex also offers batting cage rentals! Our indoor batting cage allows athletes to practice without the worry of the elements! You can customize your duration with either 30 minute or 1 hour time slots. Additionally, if you have a team that needs a batting cage we have you covered! Our 2-hour rental is specifically for teams!
Tired of looking at the weather on your phone? Come out and enjoy our OptiShot2 Golf Simulator! All you need to do is bring your clubs! Our golf simulator has 15 real world golf course to choose from! If you are looking to dial your game in the OptiShot2 Golf Simulator also tracks club speed, carry distance, face angle, path, face contact, and tempo on every swing!

About Coach Cordell McClung
Cordell McClung is the Owner and Head Trainer at OAB Basketball. With a diverse background in the sport, Coach McClung brings extensive experience from various levels of basketball.
During his high school career, he distinguished himself as a standout athlete, earning a spot on the West Virginia All-State team and participating in the prestigious West Virginia North-South All-Star Game. He continued to excel academically and athletically at Shenandoah University before transferring to West Virginia University (WVU) to pursue his coaching aspirations and complete his degree.
At WVU, Coach McClung contributed significantly to the Women’s Basketball team, first as a Manager and later as a Program Assistant. His responsibilities included facilitating practices, managing off-season workouts, coordinating recruiting visits, overseeing team travel, and analyzing game footage. Notably, he has worked with exceptional players such as Tynice Martin, Kysre Gondrezick, Teana Muldrow, and Lanay Montgomery, all of whom were selected in the WNBA Draft. Additionally, he has collaborated with numerous international professionals, including Katrina Pardee, Kristina King, and Brett Morris. Coach McClung was also a valuable member of the support staff for the Big 12 Championship team in 2017.
Furthermore, Coach McClung has extensive experience in grassroots AAU basketball while residing in Charlotte, North Carolina, coaching teams from grades 3 to 12.
Academically, Coach McClung is well-versed in sports management, holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management with minors in Strength & Conditioning and Communication. He furthered his education with a Master’s Degree in Sport Coaching.
