OAB Sports Complex
The OAB Sports Complex is located in Summersville, West Virginia. This complex is the newest addition to Southern West Virginia’s athletic development! Our goal and mission is to help individuals of all ages and experience achieve their athletic goals! We live by the mantra “Discomfort Breeds Success”. The OAB Sports Complex has many different workout services, and rental opportunities.
The OAB Basketball Gym is the home of OAB Basketball! Coach McClung offers many different workout services that assist with the skill development of basketball. OAB Basketball offers these services to many different age groups! This includes, Grade School (2nd-5th Grade), Middle School, High School, College, and Professional. OAB Basketball’s services include group workouts, individual training, jump training, and camps/clinics.
The OAB Sports Complex also offers batting cage rentals! Our indoor batting cage allows athletes to practice without the worry of the elements! You can customize your duration with either 30 minute or 1 hour time slots. Additionally, if you have a team that needs a batting cage we have you covered! Our 2-hour rental is specifically for teams!
Tired of looking at the weather on your phone? Come out and enjoy our OptiShot2 Golf Simulator! All you need to do is bring your clubs! Our golf simulator has 15 real world golf course to choose from! If you are looking to dial your game in the OptiShot2 Golf Simulator also tracks club speed, carry distance, face angle, path, face contact, and tempo on every swing!
OAb Basketball
OAB Basketball is West Virginia’s premier place to train! We work with both boys and girls athletes. All levels of athletes work with OAB Basketball such as, youth, middle school, high school, college, and professional.
Cordell McClung is the Owner of the OAB Sports Complex. Additionally, he is the trainer of OAB Basketball. Coach McClung has diverse basketball background with experience in many different levels.
During his high school years he was a stand out and was voted to the West Virginia All-State team and participated in the West Virginia North-South All Star Game. After his high school career, he attended Shenandoah University where he furthered his athletic and academic career. He later transferred to West Virginia University to start his coaching career and finish his academically.
While at WVU he assisted the Women’s Basketball team as a Manager, and later as a Program Assistant. While with the women’s team he assisted with practices, off-season workouts, recruiting visits, team travel, and video. Notable players that Coach McClung worked with while at WVU were Tynice Martin, Kysre Gondrezick, Teana Muldrow, and Lanay Montgomery all of which were selected in the WNBA Draft. Additionally, he has worked with many Overseas Professionals such as Katrina Pardee, Kristina King, and Brett Morris. Coach McClung was also apart of the Big 12 Championship team in 2017 as a support staff member.
Coach McClung also has experience working in grassroots AAU basketball during his time living in Charlotte, North Carolina. These teams included grades 3rd-12th.
Coach McClung has studied sports extensively. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management, which includes minors in Strength & Conditioning and Communication. Additionally, completed a Master’s Degree in Sport Coaching.
OAB Basketball is excited to with the next generation of athletes! Coach McClung has been very fortunate to learn from many great coaches and is excited to pass what he has learned! Let’s get to work!
